Applying for a place at St Mark’s College is a straight-forward process.
St Mark’s welcomes students who are currently enrolled or intend to enrol in a full-time, on-campus degree at Bachelor level or higher at the University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia or Flinders University.
St Mark's is seeking students who have strong academic goals and a keen interest in contributing to College life through leadership, sport, cultural and artistic pursuits.
St Mark’s College is values-based residential academic community, committed to supporting students to thrive during their university studies.
Admission to St Mark’s is competitive, and students are selected for membership on the basis of:
- Academic merit and determination to succeed in their studies;
- Commitment to upholding the values of the College; and
- Potential to contribute to College life.
Applications for new students are accepted year-round for commencement in February of the following year. There is also a small mid-year intake each year. We recommend applying before August to avoid disappointment. You must have commenced or completed your final year of secondary education before commencing your application for St Mark's.
Offers are conditional on meeting minimum academic requirements and being accepted into a Bachelor-level or higher, full-time, on-campus degree program at the University of Adelaide, University of South Australia or Flinders University. We warmly welcome applications from postgraduate students, international students, and students undertaking Study Abroad programs through our affiliated universities.
We are currently accepting applications for our waitlist for commencement at the start of the 2024 academic year. We are also accepting applications for Semester 2, 2024, and for the 2025 academic year.

St Mark’s invites potential students to visit the College for a tour at any time they are in Adelaide, or they can take a virtual tour of the College
Provide contact details for two referees. We will contact them to request an academic reference and a character reference.

Successful applicants will be contacted for in interview, either in person at St Mark’s College or via phone/Zoom.
The Admissions Committee meets monthly to review applications. If you receive an offer, you have 21 days (unless stated otherwise) to accept, decline or defer your place.
