Congratulations Alex Makarowsky (2015-current), fourth year Engineering (Telecommunications) student at the University of Adelaide who has been awarded a prestigious international IEEE Antennas and Propogation Society grant. The Eugene F. Knott Memorial Pre-Doctoral Research Grant honours the memory of IEEE Life Fellow Eugene F. Knott, who was well known for his contributions to the theory, reduction, and measurement of radar cross section.
Alex moved to St Mark’s in 2015 after being awarded the prestigious CAS Hawker Scholarship. He has continued to receive numerous scholarships for outstanding academic performance and contribution to the College community over the years.
He has been a highly respected member of the College community and taken on numerous leadership roles including Senior Academic Tutor, Academic Tutor, Male International & Equity Officer, College Club Committee member, Soccer Captain, Debating Captain and member of the Library Committee.
